What is Reiki?
The word Reiki translates as universal life force energy or spiritual energy. It means the true nature and essence of a human being.

This energy is inherent in all of life and supports the body's own innate power for healing, working to rebalance the vibrational field within the client’s mind and body.

It was discovered by Dr Mikao Usui in Japan in the late 1800’s during his quest to further expand his consciousness and thus develop his healing abilities. The Usui System of Reiki and sacred symbols are taught and activated through meditation, specific blessings or attunements (reiju), mantra and embodiment of the five precepts of Reiki. This is carried out by a lineage of teachers to students which can be traced back to Dr. Usui.

Reiki is a pure, positive, universal energy and can be accessed by everyone. Reiki can bring many benefits to people at all stages of life, from women in pregnancy, children, young adults going through puberty, working mums, elders to those in the twilight between life and death to bring peace and acceptance.
Reiki and evidence-based research into its effects
In evidence-based research in over 60 studies, including journals from Yale and Harvard, Reiki has proven to relieve pain, accelerate physical healing and stop bleeding.
It can cleanse emotional trauma from the past and present. It is also said to aid spiritual development. Reiki promotes peace and calm to the entire nervous system and works in a unique, powerful and subtle way for each person.
Reiki can support people experiencing a wide variety of presenting conditions including:

-
chronic and acute illnesses including heart disease and cancer

About Remote Reiki
Reiki Energetic Healing can be given to you wherever you are in the world. We can connect through Zoom or a phone call to talk about your experiences and health needs or those in your care.
Reiki is sent long-distance to evoke a healing response deep from within the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual energy bodies.
Reiki sessions cover all of the chakras and the body’s organs, moving from head to feet.
It can also be used interactively and intuitively to work on particular issues that have arisen to transmute and release them at their source.
Distant healing is part of many traditions, sending Prana ("absolute energy" in Sanskrit) or Reiki to those in need after they give their permission to receive.
The Reiki practitioner supports the energy to flow and be consciously directed.
